Syrian Airlines or Syrian Arab Airlines is the major airline and the flag-carrier of Syria. This airline is based in Damascus. Syrian Airlines operate flights to several international destinations in North Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia as well as several domestic services. Damascus International Airport is the main base of Syrian Airlines.
Syrian Airlines was established in 1961 by the Government of Syria. This airline succeeded Syrian Airways, established in the year 1946. The operations of Syrian Airlines begin with international and domestic routes to the east. Syrian government owns the airline.
